Build Director (Full-Time) - Handling and facilitating the day-to-day operations the campervan build process (ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS)

Job Overview

This position is responsible for all of the requirements of the Campervan Carpenter & Campervan Tech role plus more managerial responsibilities of directing the build process. In this role you will be responsible for preparing materials, installing walls, building cabinets, flooring, sinks, refrigerators, tables, beds, and other accessories to transform our vans into ultimate adventure machines! Some van cleaning and detailing may also be required. More importantly you will be responsible for facilitating the Campervan Tech and Rental Associate roles, and scheduling daily goals for all 3 roles (including yourself).

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Handling and overseeing the day-to-day build operations
  • Direct, supervise and troubleshoot common issues that arise
  • Facilitate the Campervan Tech and Rental Associate roles 
  • Schedule the build progress and communicate effectively with your team
  • Implement process improvement and brand level improvements as fit
  • Keep tools, hardware, and materials organized in a fast pace working environment
  • Keep and maintain accurate build progress lists

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of finish carpentry techniques and common practices
  • Basic plumbing skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate related and necessary tools and equipment
  • Ability to maintain, assess, and follow through project schedules and deadlines
  • Basic understanding of campervan building and common practices.
  • Highly self-motivated
  • High level of attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years in a related position
  • Must possess a high level of attention to detail and organization.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast pace environment, understand and adapt to criticisms and follow instructions.
Rental Associate (Part Time) - Checking rental customers in/out & ensuring a clean rental fleet (NOW HIRING)

Job Overview

The Rental Specialist is responsible for 2 major Operations:

1) Van Prep: Gutting, Cleaning, reconditioning used vans in preparation for camper conversion

2) Rentals: This position ensures vans are cleaned and detailed up to company standards. This individual is responsible for ensuring proper functionality of all elements of the campervan fit out such as the sink, refrigerators, lights, stove, and other components to confirm campervans are road-ready.

Our campervans are as much hotels [on wheels] as they are vehicles. They have bedding, kitchen tables, curtains, and lots of nooks and crannies which get exposed to the elements while on camping trips. With that in mind, people with housekeeping/detailing experience really flourish in this role and are highly encouraged to apply!!!

 

Rental check-In/Out

  • Provide warm and enthusiastic customer service throughout the entire rental process
  • Provide customers exceptional service throughout the campervan pickup/return processes
  • Ensure that customer questions, complaints and issues are resolved or escalated/routed to the appropriate person
  • Maintain check-in/out forms and legal documents throughout the entire rental process
  • Assist with the end of day close out procedure and in-person van checkouts
  • Encourage customers to provide social media contact & feedback
  • Convey any issues to management as they arise

Rental Upkeep

  • Ensure the depot is maintained in a clean and tidy manner
  • Launder campervan bedding, clean and maintain camping gear and accessories.
  • Keep propane and water systems topped off
  • Monitor condition of the vehicles being rented to ensure they meet state and federal guidelines as mandated.  Essential for all vehicles to have sufficient tread on the tires, functioning brakes and seat belts and all applicable certifications from the DMV
  • Cleaning and detailing campervans

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent, some college course work preferred
  • 1 – 3 years of sales or customer service experience
  • Must be 21 years of age and have a clean driving record.
  • Experience in the travel/hospitality/customer service industry preferred, but not required
  • Phone experience
  • Camping/road trip travel experience a plus
Campervan Tech (Full Time) - OEM reconditioning, maintenance, and campervan upgrades (ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS)

Job Overview

The Campervan Tech is responsible for three major operations: 

1) Van Reconditioning Cleaning, painting, and fixing OEM parts and systems; including interior, exterior, and under hood maintenance. 

2) Campervan Fleet Maintenance Perform preventive maintenance, safety & reliability inspections, and brake repairs. Assess vans for potential issues and fix as needed. Ensure proper functionality of all campervan equipment and components 

3) Campervan systems installation Assist in the preparation and installation of camper van systems and upgrades such as solar, plumbing, insulation, windows, roof vents, car audio systems and more. 

Reports To Build Director

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (include but not limited to) 

  • Break down various van components and prepare vans for installation 
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize the safety, productivity, and life of the unit 
  • Follow paper-flow procedures including documenting correct mileage/hours 
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturers specifications 
  • Perform final operational test on all vehicles to quality-check all repairs 
  • Install campervan systems: 12v wiring, batteries, insulation, curtains, tables, stoves, sinks, cabinets, and other campervan components 
  • Ensure proper functionality of all campervan equipment and components 
  • Assist with keeping the depot maintained in a clean and tidy manner 
  • Monitor condition of the vehicles being rented to ensure they meet state and federal guidelines as mandated. Essential for all vehicles to have sufficient tread on the tires, functioning brakes, lights and seat belts 
  • Cleaning and detailing campervans as needed 
  • Assist with the end of day close out procedures as needed
